With an extensive background in aviation project execution and stakeholder engagement, Jen seamlessly navigates the complexities of large-scale airport operations. Her tenure in business and properties departments at major hub airports such as MSP and PHX saw her proficiently manage over 100 leases, spanning from airlines to air cargo operators.
Bringing her wealth of experience to initiatives at Richmond International Airport, Jen is leading airport planning efforts, renewable energy endeavors, and spearheading the development of the airport’s inaugural Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report.
In addition to her contributions in the commercial sector, Ms. Pyatkov adeptly supports federal initiatives, directly liaising with the FAA to manage consultant teams for the PEARS II contract. Her technical acumen and project management finesse shine through in endeavors such as the Sustainability Master Plan Pilot Program and updating regulatory directives.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Pyatkov finds joy in the camaraderie of social events, fondly recalling dancing past midnight with colleagues at the AMAC conference in 2022. Balancing her career with family life, she cherishes outdoor activities on a sunny day and embraces opportunities for personal growth and connection.
Q & A with Jennifer Pyatkov
Why did you join J|D?
The interview sold me. I walked down to Starbucks with my two-month-old child in a stroller to meet Matt Johnson and chat about the position. To this day, I still have been able to successfully manage both work and family life doing what I need to do to make things happen!
What is the best part of your job?
The social events. I love getting out on the dance floor with my teammates at conferences and parties.
How did you meet your significant other?
When I was working for the City of Phoenix, I went to the annual Oktoberfest held at the Goodyear Airport. My husband was a flight instructor on the F-16s at Luke Air Force base and was at Oktoberfest. I started chatting up the group of guys and the rest is history….
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Sitting in the sunshine. It can be anywhere with anyone, as long as it’s about 80 degrees and sunny and I have a pool, lake, or ocean I can dip into when I get hot.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
Either a family counselor or a dietician, healthy relationships and healthy living are a passion of mine.
